Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre
The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is located on The Jurassic Coast, England’s first Natural World Heritage Site. The beaches around Charmouth are world famous for the amazing fossils that can be found washed out of the cliffs.
In 2010 the Centre welcomed over 93,000 visitors and over 5,500 school children on educational trips. The Centre was set up in 1985 by the local community to educate the public on how to collect fossils safely and responsibly.
Throughout the year the Centre runs a wide range of events including guided Fossil Hunting Walks and Rockpool Rambles, see our Events Calendar. You can book and pay for places for these events online, see our Events Registration page.
