It is on sale at £5.99 at several local outlets, including the holiday parks, post office, Morgans and Charmouth Stores. Profits will go to towards replacing the village Christmas lights. EVENTSThere are many very active clubs and societies run in the village from football, cricket and tennis clubs to gardening and Local History groups. There are annual community events such as the Village Fayre and BBQ and the Charmouth Christmas Swim when around 100 or so brave (or foolish) people take to the sea in fancy dress on Christmas morning. Charmouth has a great deal available to visitors and residents alike. The village has largely avoided the tendancy of coastal villages to build huge developments to cater for tourism, and as a result has managed to maintain a friendly, traditional village feel. That friendliness extends to the villagers and local businesses and there is a general air of relaxed hospitality, a willingness to help and a welcoming warmness that derives from being in a place where life is good.
