Passionate about Plankton
Description:
Discover the tiny plants and microscopic monsters of our seas with a paddle in the sea to trawl for the plankton. Then return to the centre for a microscope discovery session to examine the catch.
NB: Due to the nature of this activity the largest group size that can be taken is one class (Approx 30). It is also very dependent on sea state, and a back up activity can be organised if the session has to be cancelled. (Summer Only)

Rockpool Ramble 
Description:
A ramble over the rocks to explore the weird and wonderful plants and animals that live in our seashore environment.
Location: Broad Ledge, Lyme Regis
Session time: 1.5 – 2 hours

Fossil Hunting
Description:
Discover fossils and rocks with our film show, warden talk and fossil hunting on the beach.
Location: Charmouth Beach

Lyme Regis Aquarium Tour
Description:
A visit to the aquarium on the Cobb, Lyme Regis to discover the creatures of the seashore and animals from the tanks!

The Coastal Environment
Description:
Looking at the coastal environment and processes that affect it. Eroding sandcastles, how waves form and beach profiles.
Location: Charmouth Beach
Session time: 1 – 2 hours. Staff to pupil ratio must be 1:6 for this activity due to group work.
