What we can offer… Tailor made field trips to suit your needs that can be a half day, full day or several days long. Activities that are directly related to the QCA Units of Work and the National Curriculum. Safe access to a wide range of high quality sites such as coasts, rocky shores, woodland and grassland. All the equipment that your pupils/students will need for their visit Comprehensive Health and Safety risk assessment information for all activities. The Centre is fully insured to carry out fieldwork and outdoor events. A developing programme to encompass pupils / students with Special Educational Needs The Warden team are professionally trained in geology, marine biology and environmental science, are all qualified in First Aid and have all passed a full CRB check. |

During the Winter of 2004/ 2005 the Centre was completely refurbished with new interpretation displays, touch screen computers, a newly built education room as well as disabled access. The new extension has provided us with a well equipped indoor classroom in addition to the exceptional facilities that we have in regard to the great outdoors. The scope of educational activities offered by the Centre is constantly expanding to encompass a wider range of curriculum subjects and provision for pupils/students with Special Educational Needs. During 2007 the Warden team will be working on the production of support materials and education packs for both Primary and Secondary schools…… watch this space! The centre currently welcomes over 4,000 pupils / students a year! |
